About This Role
The Field Data Collection and Verification Assistant ensures that programme data is collected, cleaned and verified to a high standard. The role works closely with monitoring teams, enumerators and community focal points to maintain data quality across multiple programme sites and thematic areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect data using surveys, interviews and focus group discussions
- Ensure accuracy, completeness and timely submission of collected data
- Support use of digital and mobile data collection platforms
- Assist in organising, cleaning and uploading field data
- Support preparation of data summaries and field reports
- Train and supervise enumerators during data collection campaigns
- Triangulate field data with secondary sources and flag inconsistencies
Requirements
- First-level degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Information Management or related field
- Familiarity with data collection methodologies and tools (KoBo, ODK, SurveyCTO)
- Willingness to work in field conditions, including remote and rural areas
- Basic skills in Excel; knowledge of R, Python, SPSS or Stata an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and data integrity
- Fluency in English; local language proficiency an asset
